The Oliod is an unusual spatial geometry discovered by polymath Paul Schatz (1898-1979) that was formulated from his previous discovery of the inverted cube. When set in motion it creates a mesmerizing meandering path where although its shape is curved, it moves in a perfect straight line. The form is conceived around two congruent circles placed perpendicular to one another with the center of each intersected by the circumference of the other; the surface area and mass are equal to a sphere.

Its mathematical perfection is pleasing to the eye and extremely soothing in the hand-Oloid invites contemplation of the sublime.

In any display it will prove to be an eye-catching and elegant source of inspiration.

Each marble Oloid is individually crafted and will have its own shades and striations.

Oloid come in its own gift box complete with pamphlet.
