Mary Heilmann’s new work, “Geometric Spin”, is a colorful 3D multiple inspired by a painting entitled “Malevich Spin” – an ode to her love of Kazimir Malevich. Malevich was collected by Philip Johnson and David Whitney and is represented in our permanent collection. Heilmann draws inspiration from The Glass House, modernism, and the floor plans of the Glass House and the nearby Brick House which are two key pieces of our campus. All proceeds support preservation initiatives, exhibitions, and programs.
