Brass Nutcracker/Leather Bound Made by Werkstätte Carl Auböck, Vienna

Originally designed by Bauhaus student Carl Auböck II in Vienna, circa 1950. The handles of these nutcrackers are two solid, sand cast, pieces of brass pinned together at the pivot by a brass pin. Each handle is tightly woven with leather which will develop an even and warm patina. Stamped Auböck Made in Austria

Please note: Aubock pieces are made by hand, each one will differ slightly. Imperfections such as small scratches and/or minor nicks on the surface of this item are evidence of the handmade production process and should not be considered defects.
